Our 5-day Salkantay Trek is an unforgettable adventure that blends nature,culture,and thrill on the way to Machupicchu.This journey takes you to the stunning Humantay Lake,the towering Salkantay Mountain,and through the lush Lucmabamba Valley,where you’ll visit a local coffe park and learn about tradicional coffee-making.You’ll unwind in the soothing hot springs of santa Teresa and hike along the original inca trail to the llactapata ruins,where you’ll enjoy a breathtaking first view of machupicchu. This ancient Inca-era footpath offers an alternative to the famous Inca Trail. Your Salkantay trek also includes a professional guide, most meals, accommodation, entrance fees and transportation.
We pick you up from your hotel between 4.00 and 4.30AM and head for 2 hours to the district of mollepata In mollepata we will have breakfast.Then we will continue. by bus 1 hours to soraypampa.Before beginning the hike, all equipment and duffle bags will be handed over to the muleteers and horses. The adventure begins with a three-hour hike to Humantay Lake (4,200 m / 13,779 ft), where you’ll have time to rest, explore, and take in the incredible turquoise waters. We then hike downhill for about 1.30 hour to the camp (3,900 m / 11,811 ft), where our chef will be waiting with a lunch.The afternoon is free time ,and then dinner and a well-deserved sleep.
We woke up very early around 5.00 a.m.Today is the most challenging,but the reward will be great as you will get fantastic views of wonderful landscapes.After tasting our breakfast,we will hike for approximately three hour to the Salkantay Pass(4,640m/15,200 ft),where we will spend time taking pictures of the incredible panorama,and take part in a small tradicional andean ritual for the apus mountain god.Afterward,we will descend 2 hours dawn until lunch spot Huayracmachay after lunch continue for 3 hours downhill hiking to the second camp,chaullay or collpapampa (2,900m/9,515ft).The guide will show you to your accommodations for the night. The day concludes with a delicious dinner prepared by the cooking team.
The day begins with a wake-up at 5.30 am.Breakfast is served around 6:00 am.Your adventure continues 4 hours today by hiking through the jungle of the Santa Teresa Valley,where you'll observe a lush landscape of rivers,waterfalls,orchids,and many plantations,including bananas,coffee,and avocado.Once we arrive at Granadilla or La Playa,we will take local transportation to the third campsite,lucmabamba,which is about a 35 minutes drive. At camp,we'll share a delicious lunch before heading out to the hot springs of Cocalmayo (optional).Cocalmayo is about a 1 hour car ride from camp.we'll spend a couple of hours relaxing in the natural,clean water of the hot springs before heading back to camp for tea time,a warm dinner,and a group bonfire.
We will wake you up at 4.30 am,giving you time to pack ,folowed by breakfast served at 5.00am.Today things get more exciting as you hike along a part of the original inca trail.you'll walk up for 3 hours to an inca archaelogical site called Llactapata.You'll learn all about the history and get your first glimpse of Machupicchu.Afterward ,we'll hike downhill for 3 hours,arriving in Hidroelectrica for a nutritious lunch .The final part of the hike is a 3 hour hike along the train tracks to aguas calientes. Tonight,you'll be dining in a restaurant and sleeping in a hotel.
Visit Machupicchu you have two options. Hiking 1,30 hours.Start with a 30-minute flat walk from your hotel to Puente Ruinas (the first checkpoint). From there, hike uphill for about 1 hour. Bus( 30 minutes).Tickets cost $12 one way Buses begin running at 5:30 am. Once you arrive,who will take you on a 2-hour of Machupicchu.Your guide will explain the site's rich history ,stunning architecture. In the afternoon,we'll return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included),and take the train back to Ollantaytanbo at 2:55 pm.Upon arrival in Ollantaytanbo,our transpot will drop you off at San Francisco Square. If you return by car,hike from Machupicchu to Hidroelectrica ,which takes approximately 3 hours.You must arrive at Hidroelectrica by 2:30 pm,from here to Cusco 6 hours car.
