 Visiting pisac,Urubamba the Salt Mines and Moray terraces,Ollantaytambo. which were made by building containment walls filled with fertile earth. They were watered through a complex irrigation system. At the base of the terraces, there is a rainwater storage system.

The entire system allowed for the cultivation of the Incas to grow over 250 types of vegetables Civilizations.

Day 1: Cusco - Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

We will pick you up at your hotel at 7:00am, with our private van and head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, taking the direct route one-hours to Pisac.Pisac, famous for its impressive Inca archaeological complex and colorful artisan market where you can find local crafts, jewelry, and textiles made by Andean communities.In Pisac, you can see the biggest Inca cemetery with more than 2,000 tombs. There, we can admire the incredible farming terraces carved into the mountain, explore the Inca tunnel and the religious area of this important citadel, and then continue bus until to Urubamba our buffet lunch. After lunch we visit the archeological site of Moray. The terraces have varied microclimates depending on how deep into the bowl they are placed. Continuing on our journey to the colonial town of Maras, we look down onto the pre-Inca salt mine. Thousands of saltpans have been passed down through countless generations and used for salt extraction since before Inca times. A hot spring at the top of the valley discharges a small stream of heavily salt laden water, which is diverted into saltpans and evaporated to produce salt. This is one of the few places in the world where you can find naturally pink salt! Finally, we drive to Ollantaytambo, having time to explore the age old and bustling Inca village . Visit the ruins of the Sun Temple at the top of the formidable terraces and learn about the importance of this site for the Inca during the beginning of the Spanish conquest. After , we will be boarding the train fron ollantaytanbo train station to aguas calientes.Our representative will be meeting you arrival and will be accommodating in your hotel in Aguas Calientes, where you spend the night.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

We will be picking you up from hotel early in the morning and embark on a 25 minutes bus ride up the hill to machupicchu citadel or walk 1,30 minutes from aguas calientes to machupicchu.we will give you a detailed tour of the prime areas of the citadel for 2 hours .we will be visiting the remais of the inca sun temple,a religious center,and more . AfterAfter the guided tour, you will have free time to explore on your own, take pictures, or climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (optional, must be booked in advance). Return by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (optional). In the afternoon, take the train from Aguas Calientes back to Ollantaytambo, enjoying the last views of the Sacred Valley. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, board the tourist transport back to Cusco.

Great and convenient way to see the iconic place

Great tour, especially if you are in a hurry. The guide provided a lot of local perspectives on the various Inca sites on the way and went above and beyond to get us to as many interesting places as we could squeeze into the schedule. Big thanks for that 🙂
